About Us.
Our Story
One vision. Four founders. An exceptional team spread across Central Europe, supported by partners around the world who set standards in their respective fields. What unites us is the ambition to create a new listening experience through patience, precision, and attention to detail.
The origin of musegg® is personal. Jürgen, who built speakers with his father as a child, found himself searching for a replacement for his hi-fi system. Despite extensive research, one thing became clear: a sound system that delivers exceptional audio quality, remains technologically relevant over time, is fairly priced, and also meets aesthetic expectations simply did not exist.

Our Journey
The Beginning
So an idea became a decision. If the solution does not exist, it has to be created. That was the beginning of musegg®.
What Does the Future Hold?
Our first milestone was engineering and design. To achieve precise sound pressure down to 25 Hz, the speaker had to be larger than typical wireless systems and designed as a true all-in-one solution. After countless iterations, a breakthrough led to the elliptical form, combining visual compactness with sculptural presence. Early prototypes made from fiberglass and carbon fiber marked the beginning, along with the initial concept of our One.Click solution.
The Breakthrough
The turning point came with a housing design that felt right and a clear focus on the electronic core. With the support of Robert and Holger, we were able to close critical gaps – both technically and strategically. A chance introduction led us to the missing link we had been searching for, enabling a major leap forward in our hardware and software architecture. At the same time, we developed the first prototype of our cloud service, aiming to introduce intuitive room correction at launch and set a new standard for usability.
Build. Test. Code. Repeat.
The goal was clear, but reaching it proved challenging. To meet our target price, we had to rethink the enclosure design entirely and move away from fiber-reinforced materials. Extensive testing led to the ideal balance of stiffness, damping, weight, and cost. The result was the multilayer polymer monocoque, a key milestone in our development process.
Nice to meet you
REV3 entered its final development phase ahead of certification and partner approvals. It was time to introduce musegg® to the world. Presentations in Austria, Germany, and the United States were met with overwhelmingly positive feedback. With HoRooc, we unveiled our platform-independent room correction in beta for the first time. At the same time, Series 0 went into production.
The Year of REV4
All necessary certifications were completed, the packaging finalized for production, and the first units shipped worldwide. REV4 was introduced and, following numerous requests, equipped with an outstanding analog audio input. With Remote.Fitting, we launched a service that delights listeners. Our production line expanded, Series 1 was produced, and quickly sold out. Early testers put musegg® through its paces — and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Recognition beyond HiFi
Recognition came from outside the HiFi world as well. musegg received the Silver A' Design Award and won the European Product Design Award in Consumer Electronics / Audio. It was also selected for the German Design Award 2025 in Excellent Product Design / Entertainment. DesignWanted portrayed Loutd's approach to a new generation of HiFi, and Jürgen was named A' Design Award 'Designer of the Day' in December. At the same time, we opened up a different route to premium audio: the High-End subscription. Not everyone loved the idea – which made the conversations even more interesting.
Out into the HiFi world
We took musegg back to where HiFi is discussed face to face. At HIGH END Munich we exhibited in the Start-Up Area, followed by the South German HiFi Days in Stuttgart and further appearances in the specialist scene. musegg won the BIG SEE Product Design Award 2025. More importantly, independent listening tests confirmed that the idea works beyond the drawing board: HiFi Test placed musegg in its reference class and praised its neutral, lively sound, bass performance and Remote.Fitting. The first specialist retailers joined us, turning a young direct-to-customer product into something people could also discover locally.
Sold out. Building what comes next.
For the first time, we are sold out. A good problem to have – and a busy one. While production is being prepared for the next generation of musegg.70, we are simultaneously renewing the digital backbone around it: website, operating system and Loutd.Link. At the same time, development of musegg.40 is moving forward: a smaller member of the family intended to bring the same modular, personalised approach into more living spaces. So 2026 is less about looking back at what we built, and more about getting the next generation ready.
